Dang It! More fun from the looney left on health care
FROM THE AP: WASHINGTON – House Democrats are crafting a plan that would require all Americans to carry health insurance and would help families making less than $88,000 pay the premiums. Employers, too, would have to help foot the bill.
It’s the latest development in President Barack Obama’s push to fix the ailing U.S. health care system by getting the government more deeply involved.
Obama has said the final legislation must rein in costs, guarantee choice of health plans and medical providers, and ensure that all Americans have access to affordable coverage. But he’s leaving it to Congress to work out the details. (emphasis mine)
I promised myself that I wasn’t going to get political at all on this blog. But the phrase in red hit me so hard I had to comment. I”ll make it short. The “ailing” health care system is only ailing because the government is already deeply involved. Every time the government gets “deeply involved” in something, it functions less effectively at greater costs. One small step towards socialism for a man, one great leap towards socialism for mankind. This is health care we’re talking about. And it’s worrisome.
But even more worrisome is the word in the first bolded sentence in purple, is the word “required” – Require all Americans to carry health insurance. Require a free citizen to do something that the government thinks may be
good for his health. This is scary stuff, boys and girls. This goes way beyond socialism. I guess liberal democrats don’t care about SOME civil rights. According to them, we have the right to freedom, unless the lack of freedom
is “good for us.”
This makes me angry. And scared.

I am on your page Matt………and there are way too many people who CANNOT !!! afford the coverage even if they would help. We already see their “help” ……a.k.a. maybe $20/week on a check for a “recovery/stimulus” plan. They need to go price health insurance for a family…….Oh, yes, I forgot……they get all that for FREE by being who they are ….on our already over-taxed dollar.
Ignorance……..well, they got alot of that.
I have said for a while now we are headed for a true 2-class society…….this is a major extra step to get there.

Hey, share the feelings. Massachusetts has already what is called “Mandated Health Insurance” and for those of us who remain without it, the consequences are in the form of a penalty that is calculated at the time of tax-filing and considered a “Tax-Evasion.”
Am I angry? I am furious!! I hope the bill the idiotic liberal Congress is attempting to shove down the throat of every American falls flat on its face.
All the “pros” they are selling are just a bunch of lies!
Sorry to ruin your day, Jordan, but socialized health care is coming and to quote my dear friend, Dave…”there’s not a damn thing we can do about it…except, maybe, bitch.” You can’t stop it. I can’t stop it. Like gay marriage, it is coming because the powers-that-be are larger than we are and it’s on their agenda. Just takes time, but gay marriage will be the law of the land, as will socialized medicine, as will a whole host of other hot button ticket items. You can bet on it. There are occasions when I hate being right; this is one of those times.
Chad, I am not ready to throw in the sponge. Not yet.
Yeah, eventually, we also ALL gonna die, but each day I am blessed to awaken to, I want to live it to the fullest. Otherwise, I might as well just lay down and die. The fight might be greater now than it’s ever been, but it’s going to happen. No conceding on my part.

Hey there, Jordan. Thanks for the quick wake-up call. “Angry, scared, and worried” are always better than “defeated.” Let’s keep in mind that our flag doesn’t have a sickle on it yet, and in four years we could vote the right person into the right place, and start the journey back.
So true, Matt. Notwithstanding, it’s best that certain bills and legislation do NOT be put through.
IF universal health care (aka Single Payer)sees the light of day, it might be almost impossible to repeal it. Look at S.S.
So, like you, I am not ready to wave the white flag. Not Now! Probably, not ever!
Dave has not nor will he concede.
But, he does have a sense about him to not cast his pearls before the swine…remember that advice ? Simply says (to go with Matt) at times the battle is not to be fought (especially on emotions) until the troops are gathered and the time is right.
There is always, always hope. But Chad is correct, like it or not. And, while “they” are in control, they will push as much as they can get passed while they have time.
No, Jordan. Not quitting, I’m a sucker for lost causes and long shots. I love the underdog. Just stating a harsh reality. The fact that we’re going to lose and will continue to lose doesn’t dampen my spirits. Just makes me fight harder for enduring principles. I’ll go down fighting.
