They could put flashing lights on the signs (oops, we have flashing lights) , they could make them bright florescent colors (of which they are beginning to do) ...and people still see "red" instead of the damn sign and traffic. The guy who "changed my life" was impatiently waiting at a yielded green light , late for his go-cart races, and did not see a bright, cherry red vehicle oncoming in clear skies, sun at his back. He just refused to yield, same as those idiots on 64 couple weeks ago entering a one-lane construction zone. I grew up learning right from wrong, defensive driving, and that a mistake is a person thing not a damn sign thing. God forbid people be more responsible.
