Tiller slaying underscores hypocrisy of abortion advocates

A terrible thing happened a couple of weeks ago. A man was shot down in cold blood in the middle of a church service where he was serving as an usher. The man in question? The notorious late term baby killer, George Tiller.

To some, it was a tragic miscarriage of justice. To others, it was karma. Tiller’s clinic had been snuffing out the lives of the innocent for years in the most gruesome way imaginable.

Yet, surprise! Since Tiller’s slaying, the media has hailed him as a hero of the “faith” — a martyr for the abortion industry. He is consistently framed as a tireless servant and advocate for women’s health. An article from the AP stated that Tiller believed, “…women with access to prenatal testing needed options in case those tests uncovered severe fetal abnormalities…” Emphasis mine.

Yes, because any innocent pre-born child which has abnormalities shouldn’t be allowed to live if the mother deems its life not worth living. Instead, these innocent human beings should be partially delivered, their skulls punctured, and their brains suctioned out. That’s the kind of option these women should have available to them and that’s the kind of service to the community which Tiller provided.

The only bright spot to this otherwise tragic story is that upon Tiller’s death, his family decided to close the clinic where he butchered so many human lives. Understandably, this move has raised the ire of abortion advocates. One abortion provider called the closing an “outrage” and added, "How much can you resist this kind of violence?" Indeed, good doctor. One wonders how you can decry the violent crime perpetrated on Tiller even as you champion the so-called rights of women to kill their unborn children in one of the most violent ways the medical community could conjure.
