Sure enough, starting on page 424 with Section 1233 – “Advance Care Planning Considerations,” Congress is requiring “end of life” counseling sessions every five years for seniors. Why our analogy to ‘Logan’s Run?’ Here’s a summary from Wikipedia:
Logan’s Run is a novel by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. Published in 1967, it depicts a dystopian future society in which population and the consumption of resources is managed and maintained in equilibrium by the simple expedient of demanding the death of everyone upon reaching a particular age, thus avoiding the issue of overpopulation.
We think the letter and intent of the liberal Democrats is quite clear. Reduce costs by rationing care to the elderly and terminally ill. To quote the late Cardinal Joseph Bernardin of Chicago:
The message is clear: government can save money by encouraging old people to die a little sooner than they otherwise would. Instead of being regarded with reverence, and cherished, human life is subject in this view to a utilitarian cost-benefit calculus and can be sacrificed to serve fiscal policy and the sacred imperative of trimming a budget.
The next issue we’re examining is the creation of yet another BIG GOVERNMENT agency that will determine comparative effectiveness. What’s that? That agency will use “research” and will decide the treatments onw should get, who should get them, and whether they should be made available at all. Even Senator Tom Daschle (D, South Dakota) admits in his book that Socialized Medicine “will not be pain-free”. He insists that Seniors should accept the aging process and forgo expensive treatments.

Small price to pay to get rid of all the Hippies. Yep, those flower-power retards of the 1960s are now coming into their sixties. I know it’s small consolation, but seeing them denied of medical care before I am (me only being in my 40s) gives me something to look forward to.
Best of all, it seems to me that a lot of people in their 60s are Devilcrats. They were born after WWII and are a different breed than my grandparents who saw the world in danger. So by eliminating healthcare for these folks, the devilcrats are eliminating many of their votes. Meanwhile those in their 20s and 30s who voted stupidly last november will see people they know being denied healthcare and possibly swing over to the Right. Brilliant.
But I guess when there’s no one left to vote for them, the Devilcrats will have to resort to voting for themselves.
There’s one little problem you didn’t bother to consider in your voting scenario, Trog: illegal aliens. With estimates as high as 20 million (that’s 20 million squatters in the U.S. of A.) You’re talking about a voting base which will be unparalleled in recent (or any) memory. And this demographic doesn’t believe in abortion. That means in a very short time, perhaps three decades, we will be the minority in this country. It also means that unless we can leverage the buying power of special interests (as our political antiparticles do…LOL), we won’t be winning elections anytime soon. Of course, with politicians on both sides doing whatever they damn well please, irrespective of Americans’ wishes, it’s all a wash anyway. Since I don’t yet qualify for the end-of-life counseling required by Obama’s new death care deal, I think I’ll go dig a hole and lie down in it. Surely some enterprising liberwock will do the “honorable” thing and pick up the shovel.
White people will never be the minority, because when the numbers are right to decalre them that, some law will be passed prohibiting the use of “minority” language. It’ll be interesting to see how Affirmative action works then, when say a black person accuses a white person of discrimination in hiring. How can a minority discriminate? That’s the declaration being made now and for many years- that blacks can’t be accused of reverse discrimination; that is, discrimination is being defined as a majority picking on a minority. When white people aren’t the majority anymore it will shatter this whole system.
I look forward to this- a time when all Americans are treated like people, instead of colors.
