Democrats working on plans to intimidate opposition of “Obama care”
Washington – As opposition to President Barack Obama’s health care plan (dubbed “Obama care” by grassroots opponents) heats up, Democrats are preparing a counter offensive of their own to silence any opposition to the plan.
Yesterday closed door meetings were held by the Obama administration in which supporters of the plan were told that if any legislators were criticized in TV ads, “the party and it’s allies would respond with twice the force.”
The administration’s response comes in the wake of several highly publicized anti-Obama care demonstrations at townhall meetings across the country.
As a result, meeting organizers have been instructed to mobilize supporters for health care reform and organize the meetings more “carefully.” Sources declined to elaborate as to all the details of just what organizing “more carefully” means. But high profile sources are telling us that the meeting organizers are going to make it “very uncomfortable” for opponents of Obama’s health care bill, should they demonstrate at future townhall meetings.
Apparently, the Gestapo tactics of the Obama administration aren’t stopping there. According to one source who spoke with us on condition of anonymity, “…every Republican member of congress voting against the health care bill is being called on the carpet and the message for them is to get in line or federal funding for their state will be cut off.”
Even the internet isn’t a safe place to criticize the bill or it’s supporters. Websites criticizing Obama’s plan are being targeted by hackers. Additionally, the White House blog has a post up demanding the websites, blogs, names, and email addresses of anyone posting anything defamatory about Obama’s health care plan.
UPDATE!!!!!: A protester was beaten up by organized labor thugs for demonstrating at a townhall meeting where Democrats were infomercialing President Obama’s health care plan. READ MORE…

Uh, if it was a closed door meeting, how do we know that's what was said? From someone traitorous to the Democommies? We're supposed to believe a traitor?
Here's the quote; I leave it to as what's believable:
"The officials spoke on condition of anonymity, saying they were not authorized to discuss details of the closed-door session that took place hours before lawmakers headed to their home states for a monthlong vacation."
Anyway, the other sources check out, so this doesn't seem like that much of a stretch to me. You can read the entire article if you click the first embedded link in my article, Trog.
Have a good one.

Talk about misinformation and only telling one side of the story…"plans to intimidate opposition"? "Gestapo tactics of the Obama administration" Puhleeze…
The reason that the democrats need to stage a defense is because of the intimidation and general thuggery that they've faced at the town hall meetings.
Have you seen the videos? The hate-filled goons in the audience chanting and shouting down the congresspeople holding the meetings. Congresspeople receiving death threats from "Obama care" opponents. That, my friend is the definition of "intimidation" and "gestapo tactics".
I look at these people in the audience and I see scared sheepple, frothing at the mouth, so full of hatred and and anger. It's freakin scary! In the USA? It looks exactly like those "grassroots" demonstrations that you seen in iraq or iran where they're burning the american flag and condemning "the great satan" (the USA).
Again, just as they've done for the past 20 years, the republicans and their bosses the corporations have skillfully manipulated the very people who would benefit the most from healthcare reform.
How's your current healthcare plan Chad? How well are you and your wife and kids protected? (We both know the answer. You want to talk about "socialized medicine"?) Are you satisfied with your healthcare plan?
I won't even go into the horror stories I could tell you about trying to get health insurance as a small-business owner, but the bottom line is several hundred dollars a month with no doctor or prescription benefits. Is that the best we can do as a nation?
There's all these scare tactics about "government run healthcare" or "do you want a bureaucrat in between you and your doctor?" Let me tell you the way it is now, it's the insurance companies in between you and your doctor. They deny coverage and treatments all the time. It's happened to me many times and I'm sure the majority or people with any health issues will tell you the same thing.
Talk about "rationing care"? That's what we've got right now with the current insurance company system!
This whole debate is all about greed and fear. The corporations as usual are in charge of this country. It's all about bottom line profit. If your kid gets leukemia or hit by a car or something then you are f*cked. You know it. Blue cross doesn't give a flying shit whether your kid lives or not. If it's comes down to dollars vs. life then dollars win every time. It's the american way. Sad.
Oh dang, where to start…
First, let's not talk about republicans and corporations. Have you been watching Obama and Jeff Immelt making out on the White House lawn? Tell me why G.E. is so strongly supporting Obama's policies? Maybe they just care — like when they were doing business with Iran — or maybe, just maybe, it's about money. I'd go with the latter.
"Hate-filled goons"? Sounds like more of the same ad hominems when Americans question the "Chosen One." You disagree, you are a hate-filled goon like those in Iraq and Iran. Sounds like a superiority complex to me.
The government couldn't run the post office, they can't run public education (just look at the stats), they can't balance their own books, yet SOMEHOW, you still have faith in them with your health? Give me a break. The biggest problem with insurance companies and doctors is frivolous litigation. Lower malpractice premiums, and you will see prices, as well as personal insurance premiums, go down.
So, Blue Cross is callous, but the government is compassionate? Really? Uh, I have Medicare (which is government-run, by the way) and I have not received any phone calls or sappy letters asking me how I am doing. In fact, many doctors will not accept Medicare, because Uncle Sam says, "we'll pay you whatever we want" to the doctors. Do you really think that is going to change?
You refer to horror stories when addressing your quest for health insurance. Look at EVERY government-run healthcare system and you will find real horror stories — ones where people are denied treatment, or they have to wait too long. Either way, the government's words are those of God — unable to be questioned and irreversible.
Who polices the government anyway, huh? No one. They do what they want. Obama is a narcissistic, elitist, control freak. You can suckle on his teat all you want, but I would rather take my chances with the private sector.
Hey, thanks for commenting, but you'll be eating those words when this goes through kemosabi. It's late here, so my response to your comment will be late as well. Probably tomorrow. While you're waiting for it, I'd love to hear your opinion as why it's the government's responsibility to insure us. I'd also be very interested in knowing why you think Uncle Sugar can do better, when you know as well as I that everything duh gubment touches turns to ash…and don't preach to me about insuring my family. I know what my responsibilities are. I also know what the government's responsibilities are…and providing insurance ain't one of 'em. But I've got bigger objections to this crap bill (and that's exactly what it is) than my moral objection to Uncle Sam socializing medicine. We'll talk about that later. Have a good weekend.
Oh, almost forgot to add that I would like you to please correct all the misstatements in my article. The last thing I want to do is write something inaccurate. If I've done that, I'd like to know where I got the facts wrong, so I can correct them.
that's not all, Ron. I just found out that the pharmaceutical companies are prepared to back the Dem (aka the "dum" or just dumb, if you prefer) health plan to the tune of $150 million. Hmmm…wonder why they're doing that? It's certainly not because they have anything to gain. I mean, they aren't looking at what 's in it for them. Next to the automakers, the corporate drug lobby is one of the most powerful lobbies in Washington. Interesting.
This argument from the Right is such Crap.
As I've mentioned before, if you are truly opposed to "Socialism," please, all of you living in small towns return the tax money you've taken from we city folk.
Why should I have to pay for your roads or schools or your dentures?
It's not my problem you have no tax base, and that the majority of the jobs are at Wal-Mart.
Move. To a city.
And you never addressed B's remark that the real "Thugs" are the people disrupting these meetings.
Disruptive behavior is not protected by the 1st amendment. They should be arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Just as participants in the sit-ins were.
Nothing but a gaggle of Paranoid Loons.
"Oh, no, the White Man is GOING EXTINCT!!!"
The Right is utterly bankrupt, and more and more it's becoming a party of the Fringe.
"Obama is the Anti-Christ!"
"Obama Hates White People! He's a Racist!"
"Obama is a Socialist, Liberal, Communist!" (I wish you'd people learn the meaning of those words).
"Obama Wants to Kill Retarded Children and the Elderly!!"
"Obama Isn't an American Citizen!!"
What you'll never hear is, the truth-
"Obama is black, and WE DON'T LIKE BLACKS!!!"
Of course, you don't like anyone: Mexicans, Muslims, Gays, Atheists, Liberals, Europeans, College Graduates/Professors, Journalists, City Folk, Feminists, Community Activists, Counselors/Therapists…
Hell, it would probably be easier to list the people you do like.
Rich White Men.
Uh, I'm sure there's more.
Oh, one last thing.
I thoroughly enjoyed "Ron" and his "outrage" over the Left's "ad hominem" attacks against poor, poor Right Wingers.
The most coolerest part was how he laid out an argument against the Left, Obama, and Obama's Health Plan based exclusively on emotive nonsense.
This is my favorite part-
"You can suckle on his teat all you want, but I would rather take my chances with the private sector."
Really?
I thought you said you were on Medicare, Ron?
Unhinged, and Oblivious.
It's almost too much to bear.
How long has insurance even been around? Did the Founding Fathers have insurance? How about those living in the Antebellum South? War of 1812 survivors?
Insurance is a product. We have no "right" to it. I guess next once the Obama Healthscare plan is passed, we'll all get a "right" to own a new car… hey, that doesn't sound bad. I'm a big guy, so maybe I can use that as a disability and get a big car… yeah, I'd even put an obama bumper sticker on it, if it was free.
What other free stuff can the government give me- you know, because i have a "right" to it?
LOL…fairlane. I have to admit that your comedy routine is getting better. I couldn't stop laughing.
You forgot a couple of things, though. First it's liberals with a lowercase "L" that I don't like. They are the enemy. But that's a generalization, as you know. Because I happen to like two flaming libs in you and Realitology.
Second, I don't have dentures, but my old man does and I can tell you that it's not your tax dollars paying for his orthodontist. He takes care of that himself. Roads and so forth are paid for by hard working people like myself. Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn't mention all that "great" gambling money we get.
Third, why don't you admit that the only reason you're disagreeing with us is because you hate conservatives, even more, you hate conservatives who are bad-assed guitar players. It's obvious. You have a severe case of conservative bad-assed guitar player envy. You've always hated me because of my talent, stunning good looks, and ardent conservativism. It couldn't possibly be due to differences on the issues. Talk about acting like a "paranoid loon."
BTW, I'm glad you brought up the whole people being disruptive issue. Because I was wondering why you and Realitology never addressed the tactics being employed by those in your ideological camp. Oh, that's right; you don't have an ideological camp. That would explain the liberal smug you display so prominently in your comments…which leads me to another question: why do liberals not know they're liberals? It's the strangest phenomenon. I've always wondered about this. Maybe the reason you libs are oblivious to your own political orientation is because you're disoriented from compulsively smelling your own farts all the time. I don't know…I'm theorizing here, so I could be wrong about this. If I am, then please accept my bleeding-heartfelt apology.
Anyway, back to your question about these disruptions. Assaulting protesters? Threatening legislators unless they kowtow to the Obama Regime? Compiling a list of names, email addresses, websites, etc. of people who are opposing the health care bill? Barring people from meetings who disagree with the powers-that-be? Why aren't you outraged about that?
Chad, you're a decent enough chap, but your response is nonsense.
The "assault" was a sham, and his posing in the wheelchair an insult to even the rubest of rubes on your side of the aisle. He's now asking for donations for his fake injuries because the bum doesn't have insurance. Also, donations can be spent however one chooses. Insurance not so much.
Bet he has sweet pay off in the not too distant future.
Only a complete f-ing fool believes that man was "Beaten."
Obvious setup. Blatantly so.
The reason I hate the Right is because it was hijacked by MORONS. I was a Republican long before you or Troglodunce or any of the rest of your gaggle of fake ass conservatives.
Gambling money going toward roads, hospitals, pet monkeys, etc. is a "Redistribution of Wealth," which is a tenet of Socialism, not Capitalism.
And I promise the town in which you live (I'll keep it anon), takes in more than it receives on both a state, and federal level.
Again, Socialism.
Your claims about Obama's "thuggery" are utterly unfounded. All you have to support your bug eyed claims are reports from Wingnuts who make you look like Che Guevara.
As for barring the goons, Good For Them. They should be Banned.
Disrupting the meetings with Inane Slogans, and Paranoid Rantings is not Democracy. It's Goonery at its worst.
When Democrats tried similar tactics, during the Chimpy years, they were not only thrown out, but often times, arrested.
You have no logical, coherent arguments against the Health Care Reform. All you have are appeals to emotion, and Ignorance.
Your 2012 Pres Candidate is going around the country speaking about "Death Panels," which only adds to the perception that the woman is utterly devoid of both Brains, and Integrity.
Apparently "Values" you find appealing.
The Lunacy on the Right is Mainstream. Liberals are afraid of their Loons.
The Right embraces the Loon puts it on television, radio, and calls it "Entertainment," "Commentary," "Punditry," and "Journalism."
Fox proudly address the "Birther Movement," the "Obama as Anti-Christ" movement, the "Obama hates Whitey" movement, and the "Obama wants to kill old ladies" movement, on a daily basis.
Your lunacy is mainstreamed because Lunacy is your Platform.
The Right's "Outrage" over the slightest disagreement makes them appear unhinged, paranoid, and potentially dangerous.
Your party is controlled by Fear, and without Fear, it has nothing to offer the American people.
It is you who hates based on political affiliation, not I.
Again, I will remind you. Back when you were living the life of a complete hedonistic jerkfoff, I was a Republican.
You took over my party, and left me with little choice, but to oppose you.
What you don't see, Chad, is the fact that you're forcing people out instead of bringing people in.
Maybe you believe that makes you "Principled," but I beg to differ. In my opinion, it makes you naive, and off the bloody charts arrogant.
The economy is already showing signs of recovery, and if the Health Care Reform passes/works, YOUR PARTY IS DEAD.
That's a fact even Orly Taitz can't spin.
I love you, Chad, but you're wrong.
You should listen to me.
Hugs and Kisses.
I'll take your bet Fairlame; I've been a Republican since Reagan ran against Carter. I was conservative maybe earlier, but that's when I actually considered myself and proclaimed it so. Sweet, sweet victory in High school when Reagan crushed Mondale. I was gloating over that one for weeks…
Fairlane, I wish I had the time and lack of intelligence to engage you in your sophomoric banter, but I don’t. So, unlike you, I will skip over the childish name-calling and get straight to the part you omit — factual content.
There are some of us critical thinkers that don’t define ourselves by party, as you do, but we define ourselves by philosophies and concepts. I would say “conservatism,” but how you define that may be different than me, so I won’t, because you will once again immediately label me as a person who likes trans-gendered clown-acts on Wednesday afternoons — or whatever your distorted mind conjures up about those whom you know nothing about. Basically, shut your mouth. You know nothing about me.
First off, I have read much of the Healthcare Reform Bill that has passed the House of Rep in Congress. I am no lawyer, but I have a strong grasp on logical and critical reasoning, so I think I’ll be pretty close, and I invite you to throw in your take as well. That is, assuming you have read the bill, too. Please do us all a favor and educate yourself before speaking on the subject.
First, if this bill were ratified, it would give the Health Benefits Advisory committee complete control over who is eligible for what and what is covered. It would consist of up to 27 members: 18 directly appointed by the prez, and 9 indirectly appointed by the prez (see section 123). So, basically, Obama will have full control over your healthcare, not your doctors.
Communism is a broad egalitarian state, where the central government controls all facets: social, political, and economic. A society can be defined as Communist, even if it has not fully reached Communism. Basically, it just needs to adhere to marxism-leninism as its primary basis. Obama would never use those terms, but he basically defines his ideology in “softer,” more palatable terms, that simple folk like yourself can be fooled by. You know, like, “spread the wealth,” or “tax the rich.” How about, “level the playing field”? After Obama’s takeover of the banking industry, the auto industry (don’t forget he fired the CEO of GM), and now the healthcare industry, I think calling Obama a Communist is not only accurate, but highly responsible. Many Germans absolutely loved Hitler, but only before he was exposed as the power-hungry tyrant he was. Wake up.
There is much more, but I know you can’t handle being distracted with the facts, so I’ll let you bloviate on this for a bit.
P.S. I have Medicare, because I am disabled. I rarely use it and would much rather have the freedom of a free-market insurance program. But, I can’t because your Uncle Sugar tells me that I can’t make any money, so I have to do what they say or your beloved Obama will kick my ass to the curb. He’s such a philanthropist.
Well, what can I say, pal. The feeling is mutual. And I am at least thankful that we can have this discussion, even heatedly, and it doesn’t affect our friendship. So on with the show.
Concerning your nutroot fantasy about the guy in the wheel chair, I think you must be talking about someone else. The guy I mentioned is “bipedal.” Unless you’re talking about the guy who was taped leaving the hospital the next day in a wheel chair. For Christ’s sake get your facts straight before commenting. Have you also been snookered by liberals’ staged protests? Liberals pretending to be protesters…from the other side. Now, if that isn’t comedy, I don’t know what is.
As for city folk supporting my hometown, please produce the documentation to back up your assertion. Also please tell me how that is relevant to my objection of gubment run health care? In fact, I don’t think you’ve made a single argument for why Uncle Sugar should provide health care for Americans. All you’ve done is make your usual unsubstantiated assertions straight from the Liberal Blather Handbook. I’m beginning to wonder if you’ve been hanging around liberals so long, you no longer know the difference between fantasy and reality, pal. You’re scaring me. It’s as though you think that just because you heard it somewhere or just because you believe these things to be true, they are true. Please, for the love of God, stop trying to write factual material. Stick to fiction; you’re better at it. It is entertaining reading, though. My favorite line is the one about you being a Republican when I was a hedonist. You sound like a bad parody of Barbara Mandrell singing, “I was country when country wasn’t cool.”
Bottom line: Here’s the liberal “syllogism” (actually total non sequitur) for why the government should provide health care on the nickel of the middle class or the Rich…or both. It goes like this: “I can’t afford health insurance. Therefore, the government should provide it for me. Also, it isn’t fair that others have more material possessions and/or money than me. Therefore, those people should pay for my health care.”
Let’s face it; if insurance premiums were affordable, then we wouldn’t be having this discussion. You know it and I know it. Instead, we’d be bickering about something else you think you deserve at the expense of someone else.
Concerning your assertion that the economy is showing signs of recovery, well…I’d love to see the hard numbers on that. You sound like Ol Golden Mouth himself, quipping that the economy has “stabilized.” That’s why unemployment is so low right now. That’s why so many formerly unemployed are now working in the “service” industry. That’s why we’re still losing jobs and ppl are going under. It’s because the economy is showing signs of recovering. God, fairlane you used to see the demons on both sides. Now you’ve done the unthinkable and allowed yourself to be contaminated by the zombified Lefty hord. I can hear them now, “I SMELL YOUR BRAIN!!!!”
Oh, I forgot to add that foreclosures (that means ppl losing their homes) is up 7% for June-July. Yes…I know, more signs that the economy is recovering.
Peace, love, and hairgrease
Methinks sensitive nerves have been hit……..
Me also..thinks, both of you are right in ways.
Arguing gets nowhere. “outsmarting” or as we called it in jr.high calling someone a nastier name than they called you…well…
I’ll just get personal and say I have known Chad to be hedonistic (as called by his terms) but never a jerkoff. But, that’s just my take. Hell, I have been both, but never known Chad to be both (not at the same time at least :-} ) .
Ron and Chad are both prettttttttttty damn smot, weyes and intellergenze……..tho most reast of uz iz not so much. For Fairlane, facts mean more than emotional weightlifting.
There are some things in life people can’t see…some things they see only a portion of…and some thing they just plain refuse to see.
Lastly, never read or presumed (personally) this site as being “Republican”…….as has been said is mere Conservative-thinking.
Liberals can sell anything , but people never realize that nothing is ever, ever , EVER FREE. “Some” classes of peoples are just plain tired of paying for “other classes” of peoples laziness. There are many in-between that who “need” help, but can’t fix one without fixing all.
Regardless, if anyone thinks any of the DC elite (O included) really care about the poor sick whoever on Mainstreet USA…..they better eat a few more reality pills. No not the steroids or “other” prescribed by health-care. The concern they have is those “poor” folk that will go to the polls and keep their FREE-giving asses in office. Is there not a good reason that even their “own” have difficulties with the current proposals……..???…..their “constituents” and political backs need to be fed. That “vote” is what keeps the ball rolling, not some lame 4-year effort. Anyone who thinks they (with the best “benefits” esp. health-care) in this USA really cares if you or I have it are fantasizing on the bs they want you to believe in.
Ever wonder why it takes multi-millions to win a political race ? Why take so much effort and so much money ?
Priorities are just all f-ed up in this country. The multi-billions wasted annually could help fix most problems. Instead, the effort is wasted on “winning/losing” or being “right”.
This site is not “right” just a conservative forum with attitude…….so sad (for many) it is too far from their Leftist views.
Darn straight, Dave. Great points one and all. And I think you’re right. It is sad and pathetic. Too many of us have been taught what to think and very, very few of us have been taught how to think.
