For all our 800-ish regular readers, MTW must bid you all adieu.
Eight years ago, I'm told, this little blog popped onto the Internet to discuss stuff- primarily politics. There have been some great articles and comments, but recently MTW has been clearing it's mind. We haven't been thinking of much to say.
Not that there isn't much to say. America and the world have sure gotten screwed up- especially since Nazi Pelousi and Nobama rode a wave of sheeple affection into power. But we've gotten tired of saying the same crap over and over.
Devilcrats are bad. Duh. Anyone too stupid to see that is too stupid to reach. Sure, sure, we could keep repeating ourselves infinitely, but frankly, we've grown a little tired of it.
Now, oddly enough, this site gets its most traffic on past articles. Like "Obama is the Devil". From September 2008. Go to Google for a minute and type in "Obama is the". "Devil" is the fourth hit. Click on that and you get 8,950,000 pages with that phrase. And Number one on the search? Our little warning to all the dumbasses that were contemplating electing him.
I suppose it should be gratifying people still feel compelled to respond to this article. But really, I don't care. I look forward to the collapse of the United States if for no other reason than to loudly laugh in the faces of all the retards that voted for Obama. (And yes, I'd rather see the USA continue, but hey, silver-linings, folks, silver linings).
But myself and our other writers just got tired of it all. No one can blame us- most conservatives are too lazy to vote, so nobody should say jack shit about us not wanting to write.
Once upon a time, there was an awesome author named Douglas Adams. He wrote one of the most clever works of satire ever: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. The three-part series sold fantastically well, and spawned a BBC TV adaptation and an American movie. The final volume, "Life, the Universe and Everything" resolved an age old question: What is the meaning of Life? (the answer: 42).
In 1984, Adams published a sequel. But how do you sequelize a series that saw the destruction of the Earth, a new Earth being built, and solving the riddle to the meaning of life? Adams went prequel, and told a story of dolphins leaving the Earth before it was destroyed. The title (So Long And Thanks for All the Fish) may have also been a clue to fans- this is it, we're done with this series.
Now while it's true that 8 years later, Douglas wrote another sequel, My Thought World has no such plans. This truly is it.
Don't fret, though. The internet is chock full of great writers and interesting content. You'll easily find something to fill the MTW void.
We (myself and my silent partners) appreciate your visits, comments and trollish thoughts- except you assholes that kept spamming our comment system with ads for hippy-boomer, broken-weiner love drugs. You guys kept us really busy.
We'll keep the site up until December 31, 2010, giving those Google trolls time to comment a few more times on "Obama is the Devil" or to reminisce here about your favorite moments, or maybe get in some last cheap shots at the writers.
It's been a lot of fun, but in the words of the dolphins, "So long, and thanks for all the fish!"

Well, I couldn’t have said it better myself. It’s been a long hard road, but we had some fun along the way. It’s been great working alongside you my friend. I’ll miss the discussions and heated debate on the MTW editorial review board. I’ll miss the arguments about editorial changes and what is considered appropriate for our readership. I’ll miss the occasional poo flinging as well. It’s been a fun excursion. But in many ways a futile endeavor. I’d like to think we elevated the discussion at times…at other times, I’d like to think we just debased it because we knew there was little sense in trying to appeal to good sense, good manners, or an “outmoded” sense of propriety. I’m sure we’ll be working on some project again in the future, though, you know…after the burn-out wears off. Here’s lookin’ out, homeskillet.
I have watched, read, and learned since this blog started. I didn’t comment much, mostly because I agreed with everything your writers articulated, usually. The times I didn’t agree were few and far between and certainly not worthy of comment. You may not think it means much, but I know I won’t be the only person who misses this blog. Thanks for providing some perspective and some entertainment in my otherwise mundane existence.
great little site. hate to see it go. been a good ride
That’s a real shame. having only been an MTW fan for a few months, i can say that this news comes as a huge blow. what will i do now for insightful, yet humorous and sometimes even serious commentary? i hope you guys will at the very least preserve the content for folks like me who enjoy current articles, but spend a lot of time in the archives. so long. im a man’s man, but i ain’t ashamed to say i love you guys. I miss you already.
I wish I could have spent more time here. I enjoy knowing others in the USA still share traditional views such as mine..
Sorry to see y’all got but im sure ill meet most of you at the revolution.
Speaking as a fish, I am deeply offended. I have been a fish all my life, and dolphins have been terrorizing me ever since I was a wee little fish. But seriously, speaking as one who spent time early on writing a number of articles for MTW, including the one that tried to branch out of politics to talk about a woodworking project I was trying to work on (uh, that caught on didn’t it?) that is to this day unfinished, well, yes, thanks for all the fish. You can still visit my blog. I put links on it and rant once in awhile about political stuff I’m annoyed about. In the meantime, defeat every Democrat, get out there and vote, and put out lots of political signs. It’s kind of fun trying to find creative places to put all the signs. Take care!
NO! You’re my favorite person to disagree with!
Well maybe if you’d disagreed more often we’d have kept the site up!
Oh well, thanks for coming and playing! May I recommend Moonbattery.com as your daily fix of rage-inducement?
Davy,
So good to hear from you. I thought we would never hear from you again. Nice to see that you’re still floating around.
Is that supposed to be some kind of turd joke, Chad?
Hey guys, if I had known, i would have! And i’ll check that place out, thanks!
hehehe:)
Oh, and yer welcome.
I found your website in 2008, by google-ing Obama is the devil, but it was out of frustration, not trolling. I have always found your articles funny, although I didn’t always agree. I can agree with lazy republicans, as I have said before, I live in Vermont, there were no dubie signs anywhere, yet the democrats filled the schools with their signs. Even with the landmines, Dubie only lost by 1%, imagine if we actually put it any effort, we could take the north back.
Well, you can’t ask for more than that, Lenois. We appreciate that you kept coming back. Thanks for your support over the years and good luck:)
