What’s “bird flu” got ta do with it?

I was talking with my step-dad the other day when the subject of financing the war in Iraq came up. My dad was going on about how we never should’ve gotten into this war and how we can’t afford it especially with the advent of the Avian bird flu.

So I asked him, what’s the “bird flu” got to do with our financing of the war in Iraq? With a poker face he explained to me in technical terms how the money used to support the war would be put to better use if we invested it in a giant “mosquito” net. “I’m not following you.” I said. He continued, “If all the states (and the federal government) would pool their resources, we could produce a giant industrial strength mosquito net which would serve as a semi-permeable membrane. This “membrane” would allow air, water, and heat in, but would effectively keep potential carriers of the bird flu out, and that seems like a more worthwhile investment ta me.” Thanks alot dad…

  1. I am not so sure that the net thing is posible, however, it seems like a good idea to me. I have no worries about the bird flu, but I think the net may help control immigration. They say that we can’t build a wall…………….but a net, maybe!!!!!!!

  2. If the membrane could keep out nuclear weapons, air attacks, and terrorists, then I say it’s an incredible idea, and we should really look into it! Kudos,
