WASHINGTON – A high ranking U.S. intelligence officer speaking under condition of anonymity (he had a sack over his head) announced today that Osama Bin Laden was killed last night after agents traced a phone call he made from an underground bunker in Northern Iraq.

The official said that Bin Laden was attempting to order a mock commemorative plate series which was created for a spoof commercial. The commercial, originally aired on Fox Network, featured talk radio commentator Dennis Praeger selling plates commemorating our redeployment of troops from Iraq at the behest of liberal Democrats.Bin Laden thought the offer was real and attempted to place an order for the plates. When operators realized the call was genuine, they went along with it, keeping Bin Laden on the phone long enough to trace the call to an underground hideout in the mountainous region of Northern Iraq.

Several liberal pundits are now demanding that President Bush be impeached for signing the "death order" on Bin Laden without due process of law. Bush said he didn't even know about the ordered strikes, which killed Bin Laden until early today when Vice President Dick Cheney brought him his morning glass of Metamucil.
