This is what happens when a major media personality like Chris Matthews falls in love. This video demonstrates that Matthews doesn't just have a crush on Barack Obama, he's ready to take the vows. What a shlamazel!
Especially, listen to Matthews' reasoning on segregation in the north. That's right; Segregation in the north. He claims that from grade school up through grad school he never had any African Americans in his classes. And based on that "fact" he makes the claim that the reason that occurred was due to (get this) "segregation."
There you have it folks. It's segregation in the north. That's the problem. If Matthews is telling the truth (which I doubt), I'm sure the absence of African Americans had nothing to do with college entrance exams or some other factor, not on the Matthews radar. It also, apparently, never occurs to the bonehead interviewer to call Matthews on this.
I experienced segregation as well. I never had one single vietnamese person in any class growing up. When will this tragedy end? When will we start abducting and importing ethnicities and forcing them to comingle with others, thousands of miles from home, all so that we can truly experience multiculturalism, whether we want to our not?
