Wake Up GOP Backroom Thugs
I want you backroom bureaucrats to pay attention. Are you listening? We don't want moderates; we don't want mavericks; we want conservatives! Need proof? Just look at the way Sarah Palin has electrified John McCain's campaign. Prior to her being tapped, most of us real conservatives were going to just sit this one out. That's right. We were willing to let Wacky Baracky's liberal zealots carry the O' Train right to the White House…liberal judges in tow. That's because the smart conservatives have finally realized that the GOP doesn't give a damn about it's conservative base much less its so called conservative roots. We're also mad as hell that the wake up call we sent in 2006 went unheeded. Our politicians decided to continue sleeping in. So we figured that since you didn't listen 2 years ago, perhaps if you lost the White House to the man who put the "L" in LIBERAL, you just might figure it out: We're no longer drinking the damn Kool-Aid, chumps! We've finally come to the "shocking" conclusion that the only thing you jerks on the Hill care about is staying in office. And we all know that you would do anything (and I mean ANYTHING!) to stay in power, even if it means shuning candidates who are closer to the conservative ideals of the party. Whatever it takes. 'Cause this ain't about representing the people; it's about becoming a career politician, doing whatever you please irrespective of what the base wants, and lining your pockets along the way. Can I get an Amen?
What will Palin's "promotion" to V.P. mean in terms of policy if McCain gets elected? Not a whole hell of a lot, but the fact that McCain's campaign was severly anemic prior to Palin getting the nod, should send a powerful message to the GOP powers that be. You need to quit screwing around and get back to the ideals that made this party great. Stop wasting my money! Quit catering to big business and special interests. Start representing your true conservative base again! If you do, we'll reward you with our votes and if you don't…well, let's just say you might have to get a job in the private sector.
Bingo.
