Nationalized Health Care: another lie in the making

Scanning the political newsfeeds today, my eye caught this quote from President Obama: "This isn't about me. This isn't about politics," he said. "This is about a health care system that is breaking America's families, breaking America's businesses, and breaking America's economy." Emphasis mine.

Isn't it interesting  how politicians use whatever crisis is at hand in order to leverage their buying power concerning their favorite legislation? The first quarter of this year, we were told that the only thing that could save our precious economy was a trillion dollar bailout of the financial markets. We were warned that our economy would implode if this didn't happen–that we simply wouldn't survive economically if duh gubment  didn't spend our money to save irresponsible lenders and corporations. This started with Bush Jr. and the tradition is now being proudly carried on by Obama. Only this time, instead of leveraging a bailout of irresponsible lenders, et al., we're talking about health care.

Is it true that our health care system has bankrupted families, businesses, etc. ? Yes. Will a government run healthcare system save our economy? No. Our legislators can't even take care of their own business, let alone the business of health care. Yet, libernazis like Obama and his party faithful continue crying for it.  Government is our savior, they say. Government is the only thing standing between us and financial ruin. Government is the only thing standing between us and the deepest Hell. Government will save your immortal soul if you throw enough tax dollars down the bottomless pit. Government is god to these people and Obama is their messiah.

If the fiscal irresponsibility weren't bad enough, there's the "euthanasia clause" carefully tucked away in this bill. Here's the short list:

Pg 425 Lines 4-12 Govt mandates Advance [Death] Care Planning Consult. Think Senior Citizens end of life.

Pg 425 Lines 17-19 Govt will instruct & consult regarding living wills, durable powers of atty. Mandatory!

Pg 425 Lines 22-25, 426 Lines 1-3 Govt provides approved list of end of life resources, guiding you in death.

Pg 427 Lines 15-24 Govt mandates program for orders for end of life. The Govt has a say in how your life ends.

Pg 429 Lines 1-9 An adv. care planning consult will be used frequently as patients health deteriorates.

Pg 429 Lines 10-12 adv. care consultation may incl an ORDER for end of life plans. AN ORDER from GOV

Pg 429 Lines 13-25 – The govt will specify which Doctors can write an end of life order.

PG 430 Lines 11-15 The Govt will decide what level of treatment you will have at end of life.

Only a flipping moonbat could come up with something so sinister and call it health care.

National Health Care: ObamaCare ushers in ‘Logan’s Run’ era

We had heard “chatter” about this provision and checked it out for ourselves. Sure enough, starting on page 424 with Section 1233 – “Advance Care Planning Considerations,” Congress is requiring “end of life” counseling sessions every five years for seniors. If that doesn’t send cold chills down your spine, then you should be concerned. (You can reference the bill for yourself, here…)

Why our analogy to ‘Logan’s Run?’ Here’s a summary from Wikipedia:

Logan’s Run is a novel by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. Published in 1967, it depicts a dystopian future society in which population and the consumption of resources is managed and maintained in equilibrium by the simple expedient of demanding the death of everyone upon reaching a particular age, thus avoiding the issue of overpopulation.

We think the letter and intent of the liberal Democrats is quite clear. Reduce costs by rationing care to the elderly and terminally ill. To quote the late Cardinal Joseph Bernardin of Chicago:

The message is clear: government can save money by encouraging old people to die a little sooner than they otherwise would. Instead of being regarded with reverence, and cherished, human life is subject in this view to a utilitarian cost-benefit calculus and can be sacrificed to serve fiscal policy and the sacred imperative of trimming a budget.

The next issue we’re examining is the creation of yet another BIG GOVERNMENT agency that will determine comparative effectiveness. What’s that? That agency will use “research” and will decide the treatments onw should get, who should get them, and whether they should be made available at all.  Even Senator Tom Daschle (D, South Dakota) admits in his book that Socialized Medicine “will not be pain-free”. He insists that Seniors should accept the aging process and forgo expensive treatments.

False Prophets of Liberalism?

They/He came that you might have health insurance….and have it more abundantly. When you check out the photo, pay particular attention to the man seated on the donkey. It ain't Jesus. This obviously proves Ann Coulter wrong on the whole godless thing.
