The short trip around the political roundtable

Some supporters of President Obama's health care reform legislation have grown a new sense of entitlement.

FROM THE AP: Dr. Sheila Leavitt, a physician from Newton, said she hoped for changes that would support primary care physicians who aren't paid as much as specialists.

Conservative opponents of the bill had the audacity to suggest that Leavitt go back to school and earn the credentials necessary for becoming a specialist, then she wouldn't have to get Obama to force other people make up the difference in her pay with their hard earned tax dollars.

In other news, it was reported recently that since social security is going bankrupt, those receiving benefits can expect  smaller checks in the very near future. Also, it was reported that medicaid and medicare are going under. Some have tried to say that the reason for this has to do with the fact that these programs are government run. However, we know these assertions are unfounded because as you know, President Obama recently announced during a townhall meeting that two thirds of the cost of the new health care bill will be paid by eliminating waste and inefficiency.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently called opponents of the Obama administration's health care bill unAmerican, citing angry protestors at townhall meetings around the country. Apparently, all it takes to be labeled as unAmerican by the left is that you disagree with their views.

UPDATE!!!

In light of the people turning out in droves to protest the Obama administration's health care plan, the Why Can't We All Just Get Along Foundation (WCWAJGAF) is stripping Barack Obama of his title as a "Uniter." Calls made to the foundation went unanswered. But a high ranking associate within the oganization, who talked with us on condition of anonymity, told us future recipients of the Uniter title will have to prove themselves first, before Uniter titles are awarded.

CNN caught red handed

Well, it happened again. Another network caught in the act of bias. This time it was CNN's Susan Roesgen who did the honors at a Chicago tea party.

But what makes this story so scrumpdelicious is how it all went down. A couple of weeks ago, when tea parties were being held all around the country, CNN sent Roesgen to cover one being held in Chicago. It wouldn't have been such a big deal if Roesgen hadn't been caught on camera openly wearing her heart on her sleeve.

In this case, Roesgen showed she only has eyes for the spending policies of Barack Obama and his cosmonaut congress.  She also felt it was a good idea to deliberately misrepresent party goers by only showing (I know you're surprised) one side of the story.  The unprofessional manner in which she conducts herself in the accompanying video proves what I've long known: If you want to cover a story in the most unbiased way possible, don't send a reporter; send a journalist…if you can find one, that is. In the mainstream, they are extinct.

Anyway, we're very lucky that Founding Bloggers was in the crowd that day with their video camera to capture Roesgen in her true form. You can view that video here. Roesgen's banter, with not only the teabagger she was antagonizing, but also the lady who confronted her afterward is unbelievable. She asks a question of the teabagger and then interrupts to tell him he shouldn't be worried about taxes because he's eligible for a $400 child tax credit. Afterward, one brave lady confronts Roesgen and tells her it's wrong for our government to spend our tax dollars in ways of which we don't approve. Roesgen's idiotic answer to that was to ask the lady what she thought of her elected officials passing President Obama's agenda, then.  As if to say, "since the bureaucrats passed this crap legislation, it's what the people want." And since it's what the people want, that this somehow, magically transforms feces into something we should all value and cherish.

You can read more on this story from World Net Daily, which chronicles CNN's attempt to block this story from you, the American people.

Since that story was run, Founding Bloggers has filed a counter notice against CNN for its attempt to block video footage you deserve to see. Please, get over there and help these guys any way you can. They're fighting the good fight in standing up to the liberal monolith, CNN, and by extension, all the moonbat media outlets. You know…the ones who are only interested in one thing: shutting you and anyone else who opposes them up.

Obama: fresh out of ideas on how to curb federal spending

I was stunned to learn this past Saturday that President Obama is so desperate for ideas on how to curb federal spending that he's asking his employees (federal workers) for their suggestions.

The announcement comes in the wake of the biggest federal spending spree ever in this nation's history. Obama and his "spend-all-you-want; the-American-people-will-make more" congress have a budget projected to spend more than all the presidents since Washington combined.

His announcement to solicit help from his employees in this endeavor to curb federal spending underscores his inability to understand the human species' propensity for self preservation. I mean, let's face it; one of the biggest ways to cut spending is to downsize government. But how many federal employees do you know who are for downsizing?

This is just more political posturing and anyone with an ounce of intellectual honesty will have to admit it. Those at the top will gladly approve ideas which don't impact their employment status or their earnings–like these, for example…turning off all the lights, green bathroom plumbing, hybrid cars to conserve the liberal smug so prevalent inside the Beltway, etc.  But what if an employee says, "You know…congressmen make far too much money and they will have to undergo a massive paycut. Also, their future raises will, like other employees, be tied directly to merit and be determined by their employers…the American people"?
