Doggone it, I am sick and tired of hearing about Michael Vick.
The guy fought dogs. He was convicted. I get it. Can we move on now?
No, we can't- see the bleeding heart animal nuts keep beating this dead horse (or is that, dog).
The man has paid his debt to society. Of course, it pales in comparison to the money he lost by not playing professional sports for what, a full season?
I'm not a sports fan. And I don't hate dogs. But I am sick of hearing how bad he is. Did Mr. Vick steal the dogs he promoted for fighting? No. What is so frickin' awful about dog fighting anyway? At least the dogs have a chance. Do you think a bull has a chance against a matador that stabs it repeatedly with swords and spikes, bleeding it slowly to death?
I'm not saying Mr. Vick is an angel- he broke the law, and was duly punished. But get over it.
Kobe Bryant- what'd he do again? Why don't we hear people still whining about him? Mike Tyson- didn't he actually go to prison for his crimes?
But wait, let's look at all those "celebrity" folks who committed crimes and didn't get punished. Let's see, there's Michael Jackson, the alleged child molester. Ted Kennedy who allegedly killed his date drunk driving so many years ago. Chairman Maobama, who admittedly engaged in the illegal purchase of drugs in his younger years.
Why are so many folks picking on Michael Vick? He gets reinstated to the NFL on a conditional basis? What the hell? What happened to Marv Albert, the sportscaster who sodomized and bit a woman? Was he conditionally reinstated? I think he came back after being "fired," but it wasn't conditionally.
I guess it isn't a dog-eat-dog world after all. At least not for Michael Vick.
